Term 4 Weekly Competition

Our Middles, Junior and Senior competitions have wrapped up for 2025! 

Thank you to all of our players, whānau, coaches, volunteers and schools for another epic season. We look forward to seeing you all again in Term 1. All results can be found on our website.

Middles:

Our Middles competition saw an unprecedented 76 teams entered it across 14 schools. Tahuna Normal Intermediate had the most with 19 teams entered! It has been exciting to see many young players develop their playing and umpiring skills.

Juniors:

The Juniors had a busy season amongst their regular competition. Many schools attended our Otago Secondary Schools tournament and South Island Juniors Secondary Schools Champs in Invercargill. Our Monday nights have been lively with passionate young players and lots of fun across the 6 divisions.

The Senior competition was short but sweet with 5 weeks of games. We were able to reschedule 4 senior Division 1 finals due the unexpected storm.

Junior South Island Secondary School Tournament

In November, an impressive 11 Otago teams headed to Invercargill for the South Island Junior Secondary Schools tournament. Each school represented the region with pride and determination, bringing home a range of standout results. Congratulations to all of our teams!

Queen's High School Experience:

This year's South Island Secondary School Volleyball tournament was the one of most memorable and fun events that have happened personally this year. Not only the sport, but it connected me with my teammates and helped me work towards my future goals. Junior South Island Secondary School Beach Tournament

At the conclusion of the indoor competition, schools braved a very wet beach competition. Our girls teams rose to the challenge and dominated across the divisions. An outstanding effort after a long and tiring week of indoor volleyball!

Volley Fest Wanaka 2025

Volley Fest is coming back for 2025!

Mark your calendars for 27th December at Pembroke Park, Wānaka! You'll be guaranteed a day full of friendly competition, music, fun, and grass volleyball.

With grades for all ages (open, secondary school, primary/intermediate and family) there's a place for everyone to get involved.

Masters Games 2026

2026 is going to be here before we know it, so it's time to start organising your beach and indoor volleyball teams! 

Indoor Volleyball Information: 

📅 Dates: Saturday 31 January – Sunday 1 February 2026
📍 Venue: Edgar Centre, Dunedin
⏰ Time: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm each day (approx.)
💲 Fee: $30.00 per person

Beach Volleyball Information: 

📅 Date: Monday 2 February 2026
📍 Venue: Brighton Beach (opposite Brighton SLSC, 1001 Brighton Road)
⏰ Time: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
💲 Fee: $20.00 per person
